We now offer both clear aligner therapy and state-of-the-art custom bracket and wire orthodontics. We work with a consultant orthodontist, Dr. Leslie Pitner, who will personally evaluate and plan your orthodontic treatment. She will create a custom orthodontic treatment that considers your goals and preferences. With digital scanning technology, your orthodontic treatment can be planned and delivered right here in Mount Olive without the need for you to travel to visit another office.

Dr. Leslie Pitner is an experienced orthodontist who practiced in Columbia, SC for over 20 years. Throughout her career, she focused on integrating advanced technologies—such as aligners and computer-assisted treatment planning—to make orthodontic care more efficient, comfortable, and predictable for patients.
After retiring from full-time practice, a visit with her longtime friend and dental school classmate, Dr. Kimes, sparked a new opportunity: using her orthodontic expertise and love of technology to collaborate remotely and continue delivering exceptional care.
Dr. Pitner earned her B.A. in Art with highest honors from Williams College in 1990, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She went on to complete a master’s degree in Art History at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, before pivoting to dentistry. She graduated with distinction from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2002, then completed her specialty training and earned a Master of Science in Orthodontics from UNC in 2005. In 2007, she added a unique dimension to her clinical training by earning a master’s degree in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pitner serves on the board of reviewers for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
